First Road trip

Well this past week Bryson went on his first road trip to see his great grandma is Prescott. We so badly wanted to get up to see Jeremiah's grandma as she had not met Bryson yet but we only have one car and that car is running off of Jesus right now :) So Jeremiah's dad graciously offered to drive us up there!

The weather was beautiful and we made sure Bryson was nice and bundled and looking snazzy for grandma. Grandma Carole knew that Tod was coming up but she was told he was bringing her "birthday surprise." (her birthday was the week before) So we pull into her driveway and we planned on some cute way of surprising her but the second she saw the car she opened the door and then she saw Jeremiah and I which meant Bryson was there also. Instantly her eyes filled up with tears as she was overjoyed to see her first and only great grand son. It was such a special moment and in her words "the best birthday gift ever" <3

We spent the day very mellow, chatting and of course when I wasn't feeding or changing Bryson, grandma was hold him. She put him to sleep several times, he laughed and smiled at her and it was a very special, perfect first road trip.

Here are some pictures from our fun day!

I have a 2 month old?!

How is that possible? Today Bryson is 2 months old. Time is flying but then again it seems like forever. I almost can't remember what life was like without him. I was so nervous the days and weeks before his birth. What would he be like, would I fall into the 'motherly' role easily, how would Jeremiah transition into 'daddy-hood'...? So many questions. I feel like once we hit the 2 month mark, things settled down. We are in a good flow, routine and have somewhat figured each other out. :)

Jeremiah and I are just madly in love with Bryson. Figuring out life with an infant has been challenging but it has been such a great thing for our marriage. We have our little family now and so many priorities have changed.

Bryson is such a happy baby. He is so content and loves being on a schedule. Learning his cries and his developing personality has made life with him much easier and many less tears.

Things Bryson has been doing the past month:

- Many more smiles

- Holding his head up much better

- Loving his baths

- Grasping objects better

- Kicking and working on his leg strength

- Sleeping longer hours (most nights it's 6-8 hours straight)

- Loves staring at mom and dad but loves staring at his own reflection more (haha it's like he thinks another baby is there to play with him)

- "Talking" up a storm

and much more... :)

With the holidays coming up, we will have many more posts to commemorate all of the fun events to come!
